Since the beginning of being apart of the Blue Devil Battalion I have had a life changing experience. My attitude toward task and assignments has changed from negative to positive and it's all good. I improved in other aspects as well, such as motivation. I used to think that when something got hard I should just give up or pick up on it later, but now I am as the Raider Team said "Motivated, Motivated, down right dedicated ...". All of these attributes have helped me be a better citizen and cadet. I have also been caring about taking care of myself. As far as how I treat my self and how I let others treat me. In the last lesson we learned about was Sexual Harassment, in this lesson I have realized how a lot of things are accounted as sexual harassment. Since this lesson I have changed the way I comment about somebody's appearance. There are many more things that have changed me for good, but I believe I have a certain amount of characters I ca use for a comment so that's why I am going to stop here.
I used to see myself a just another person with a sense of inferiority to others. And strive to make sure that I was always on top. When it came to the classes I took or the activities I participated in, if I was not the best, it wasn't worth the effort. But with time I learned to just sit back and unwind. As I participated in the Blue Devil Battalion and learned not to always be what others expect of me. It has also help me develop a better work ethic and help me deal with other problems. As being part of the Blue Devil Battalion I've learned many valuable things that has made me reach more goals and obtain positive thinking. Being a team member at first was a little hard for me because i didn't know anyone and i was too shy, but then out of nowhere i saw that i started becoming motivated and that is where i saw the change in myself. I started off this school year thinking nothing about my future and now I see so many opportunities open for me. As an individual, I believe that the people who are willing to reach for their goals, make people see them differently, or even make their family be proud of them, could do anything to make it possible.
The things I have gotten out of JROTC form only the past 2 months are immense. I have been able to see just how it feels to be part of a team. Before, I found teams or groups as only obstacles that would drag me down. I found it easier to work by myself, but know I see that is not always the case. It depends on how you act whether or not things get done. Self-determination and motivation were two areas I found, and see, myself lacking. I will take this knowledge and strengthen myself. Since I've been a member of the Blue Devil Battalion I've come to realize that mostly everyone in this program is friendly. In the beginning i didn't really care. I've noticed that if you want to get something done that the best way to get it done is by working in a team. Since our sexual harassment week I've been more careful about the things i do or say. I wasn't surprised that everyday i see the same people from JROTC hanging out. JROTC has also helped me increase my work ethic. JROTC has helped me to become an all-around better person, and I am very proud of myself. Not only have I seen myself change as an individual, but also as a team member. I can now work better with a team and lead them if necessary. Through the Blue Devil Battalion I have learned many new things about myself. First I have learned that I need to stay calm even when things aren't necissarily going my way. Next, I have learned that there are times for socializing, and other times for listening. Through the Battalion I have also learned many things about being on a team. What I have learned during my time here in the jrotc cadet program is that diciplin is the key and that my position as a cadet is important to the battalion and to my commanding officer. I have learned that I can become a better leader than what I am now, and I shall work hard to achieve that goal
ReplyDeleteThrough the Blue Devil Battalion I have learned many new things about myself. First I have learned that I need to stay calm even when things aren't necissarily going my way. Next, I have learned that there are times for socializing, and other times for listening.
ReplyDeleteThrough the Battalion I have also learned many things about being on a team. I have learned that you must always help your teamates, since you are only as strong as your weakest link. I have learned that encouragment is much more motivating thatn insults. Finally I have lerned that in a team you must always contribute, and give your absolute best 110% of the time.

Since the time I have been in the Blue Devil Battalion, I learned how to open up more with people. I learned how to socialize in a(n) appropriate manner in which they are essential at most times. I learned that socializing isn't really a bad thing, but it is sometimes necessary to not keep my mouth shut all the time.
ReplyDeleteI have also learned that I have to give give it my best shot at everything and to not give up so easily. Giving up is not an option in the Blue Devil Battalion, but keep trying and trying harder is an option. I've got all the other Cadets that were cheering on for me and supporting me in to keep trying. That is one way that helped me getting this far in life.

since ive joined ive learned what i want out of life and just by doing that it has lead me to do good things and a sense of security about the steps i need to take and about what my plan is to do eachday
ReplyDeleteShy, quiet, no self confidence, does this sound like you? well this was exactly what i was before joining JROTC, i joined, because i knew i wanted to better myself and hopefully get stronger along the way. Before JROTC i hated public speaking, used to get nervous when i had to look someone in the eye, and i had no confidence in my self as a student, and more importantly as a person. JROTC has helped my find myself by providing a fun, safe, and overall enjoyable experiance while still teaching the values that some parents neglect in teaching their children. i think of Jrotc as a place for those of us who know that we need a little dicipline in our lives, a place for those of us who were tought the difference between right and wrong and have maybe forgotten it, and last but not least JROTC is a place were those of us who want to work hard to better ouselves, and to get that confidence we lack.
ReplyDeletejrotc has helped me as a person in growing mentally stronger, being able to do long, and argous tasks. this class has and is helping work harder on improving myself and my final "testimony" will be heard after the full year is over

Since i have been a member of the Blue Devil Battalion i have learned alot about myself.During these couple of months, i have grown as a leader and person.I am a little bit more friendly than i used to be and i have made twice as many friends as i had. Before i had trust issues but now by being in JROTC and around all the other cadets it made me trust people a little bit more.I have grown physically and mentally.
ReplyDeleteI have grown physically by the P.T trainings we do every friday and by the health advice one of my leaders gave me.I have grown mentally by the knowledge i have gotten from 1st Sergeant Adams and by the distance learning activities online. One thing that i like that i learned is how to become a better person.I used to just like being and working by myself but now i enjoy working as a team member with other people.I learned that anything is possible if you really set your mind to it.I have improved and changed alot in good ways and i will continue to keep doing that in the future.

being a member of the Blue Devil Battalion learned alot about yourself as a member of the team and as an individual, what i learned alot about my self as a member of the team is that team work means alot, also that you are responsible for each other no matter what, and that you have to do your part of the work in order for the team to do good. As an individual i leared that you have to focus on what you doing at all times, also how to be a better leader, how i can be able to lead others and also follow.

Being apart of this batallion has changed me from a procrastinator to a well rounded person. It also help me find new people to call not just a team, but also friends.
ReplyDeleteBeing apart of this batallion has made me realize the type of person i am. I realized that i am a very sweet person but sometimes people take that to their advantage, so i need to learn how to not ALWAYS be so nice, because if i do then people will think im just a joke.
ReplyDeleteive also realized that i need to start a savings account, becausee i want to do big things when i graduate and i cant do that living in my parents house, and barely struggling to go to college, so i need to alteast save as much as i can.
Since i have been a member of the Blue Devil Battalion what i have learned about yourself as a member of the team is that i have to consider every one else and that they there to help me, they are my family and they dont let me fail, also i have to be acountable for not just my self for every one,i learned that i cant do it all by by self and i have to ask for help, and as an individual i learned that to be clam and just learn as much as a can and practice what others teach me and apply it, also i learned as an indivudual that i can only push my self to my limits, no one else can, so i have to work as much as am willing to, and go abouve and beyond.

Ive learned that within myself that I can do anything I Set my mind to all though it also takes courage. You should never be afraid of what your about to face. I've learned that if you give up on yourself you don't get that sense of accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteAlthough you have to remain focused on your goal. To keep in mind that failure will not be an option to keep going to keep trying no matter how hard it seems to look. For your effort is reflected on your actions.
hat you have friends and family supporting you. Your never alone there will always be someone supporting you.
