  3. Since the beginning of being apart of the Blue Devil Battalion I have had a life changing experience. My attitude toward task and assignments has changed from negative to positive and it's all good. I improved in other aspects as well, such as motivation. I used to think that when something got hard I should just give up or pick up on it later, but now I am as the Raider Team said "Motivated, Motivated, down right dedicated ...". All of these attributes have helped me be a better citizen and cadet.
I have also been caring about taking care of myself. As far as how I treat my self and how I let others treat me. In the last lesson we learned about was Sexual Harassment, in this lesson I have realized how a lot of things are accounted as sexual harassment. Since this lesson I have changed the way I comment about somebody's appearance. There are many more things that have changed me for good, but I believe I have a certain amount of characters I ca use for a comment so that's why I am going to stop here.

  4. I used to see myself a just another person with a sense of inferiority to others. And strive to make sure that I was always on top. When it came to the classes I took or the activities I participated in, if I was not the best, it wasn't worth the effort.
But with time I learned to just sit back and unwind. As I participated in the Blue Devil Battalion and learned not to always be what others expect of me. It has also help me develop a better work ethic and help me deal with other problems.

  6. As being part of the Blue Devil Battalion I've learned many valuable things that has made me reach more goals and obtain positive thinking. Being a team member at first was a little hard for me because i didn't know anyone and i was too shy, but then out of nowhere i saw that i started becoming motivated and that is where i saw the change in myself.
I started off this school year thinking nothing about my future and now I see so many opportunities open for me. As an individual, I believe that the people who are willing to reach for their goals, make people see them differently, or even make their family be proud of them, could do anything to make it possible.

  7. The things I have gotten out of JROTC form only the past 2 months are immense. I have been able to see just how it feels to be part of a team. Before, I found teams or groups as only obstacles that would drag me down. I found it easier to work by myself, but know I see that is not always the case. It depends on how you act whether or not things get done.
Self-determination and motivation were two areas I found, and see, myself lacking. I will take this knowledge and strengthen myself. The base for JROTC is to create strong citizens and ready leaders. With this in mind i will strive for my own personnel goals and continue even in the face of a failure.

  8. Since I've been a member of the Blue Devil Battalion I've come to realize that mostly everyone in this program is friendly. In the beginning i didn't really care. I didn't care about anyone else or even felt like talking to anyone else. In a few weeks things changed and now i have good friends. I've noticed that if you want to get something done that the best way to get it done is by working in a team. If you look carefully you always see everyone working together no one ever gets left behind. JROTC has made me want to become a better person. Since our sexual harassment week I've been more careful about the things i do or say.
I wasn't surprised that everyday i see the same people from JROTC hanging out. Everyone seems to get along well this program has brought in great friendships. I've also come to know how important the military itself is important to the United States. Leadership has been the most important part of this program. If there is a good leader than the follower in the near future wants to be the same as that person. I still feel like there is more for me to learn as an individual. My goals are helping me become a better person.

  9. Since I've been a member of the Blue Devil Battalion I've seen a huge change in me as an individual and as a member of a team. I have seen my responsibility and leadership skills grow substantially. I have become much more responsible as a student than I was before I entered the program. Now I do all of my homework instead of slacking and only doing certain parts. I have been able to make a schedule to get everything done I need to get done. I have seen myself taking change in situations presented throughout school rather just in JROTC. I have also set personal goals for myself to accomplish. Being in JROTC help me achieve my goals faster than I would have ever thought. I began to strive in all my subject areas in school. JROTC has also helped me increase my work ethic. JROTC has helped me to become an all-around better person, and I am very proud of myself.
Not only have I seen myself change as an individual, but also as a team member. I can now work better with a team and lead them if necessary. Now I listen to what everyone has to say instead of blocking out someone’s ideas. I have seen myself working well with groups instead of struggling to cooperate with my group. I make sure everyone gets out there ideas and then I try my best to make everyone happy. JROTC has become more of a family rather than a group, and I feel very comfortable with everyone in the program. I am very proud and happy to be a part of this most wonderful program.

  10. Being apart of the Blue Devil Battalion has taught me to become more aware of my surroundings and classmates. I have had to learn the balance between school life and JROTC. I always wanted to learn how to become aleader in the militray . I have learned the basics from this class which have helped me to change my ways of thinking and solving a problem completely. Mentally and physically I have changed for the better . In JROTC , I have made myself more trusting and I now encourage others to succeed in anything possible.

  13. Since I've been a member of the Blue Devil Battalion I've seen a change in me as an individual and as a member of a team. Being in JROTC help me achieve my goals faster than I would have ever thought. Since the beginning of the year I have also changed as a team member. JROTC will teach me life long skills and has taught me self discipline and leadership skills.
In the beginning of the year I was a bit lazy and this has taught me to be motivated and a better work ethic and time management. Teams were only obstacles that would slow me down. Now I realized that a team is only as strong as its weakest link and that if someone stops we all stop.

  14. Since I've been a member of the blue devil battalion, I have been more involved in leadeship activities and motivating others to get through tough situations. JROTC has helped me learn that being part of a team is much more than just doing your part and then relaxing after that. It has helped me realize that not only do i have to do my part, but help others accomplish theirs as well. So there should never be an excuse for why I am not working when it comes to team work.
I have also learned that I am more capable of accomplishing my goals and missions that I thought. All that I have to do is set my mind to it and give it my all and I will accomplish anything i set my mind too. Not only that, but I have also learned that there is no limits to succeeding, and there is no one to stop me.

  16. As a member of the team, I realize that a single person is not the best but is only part and a meaniful one at that. Each ember of the team provides shape and personality into the team. I myself find that i provide the structure within the team rather than the personality.
As an individual, I feel like the one that just sort of fades away at the times when one does not get to express one's self. I fell that when I do not think or am myself, the very world, including myself, shuts down and I am an automaton.

  19. I've learned that I'm a better indiviual thans I was before. I've learned that it's more to JROTC than a cool uniform. I've learned to be more of a leader and less of a follower. People see me in my JROTC uniform and thinks its a great thing to be apart of and i agree. I also learned that im not such a good person being in a group as I thought I was.

As a part of Blue Devil Battalion I've learned that i also want to be in the Air Force after college. This is important because i never thought in a million years that the air Force would be a place for me. This reveals that being apart of the Blue Devil Battalion has really made a major impact on my life. I've also learned that anything is possible and I can do anything if i put my mind to it.

  20. Since becoming a member of the Blue Devil Battalion, I've improved my leardership abilities along with being successful in a team. Not only have I learned more about my strengths and weaknesses, I've also been able to stay on track in school with my work. Being a part of the Norcross JROTC helped me complete my goals in and out of the program. The JROTC will continue to teach me what I need to know to become a better cadet and leader.

At the start of the year, I felt as if the JROTC program wasn't the right choice. I didn't think I'd be able to handle having to be a leader and instructing the class. The whole nervousness pushed me behind most of the other cadets in leadership positions. I regret not using the opportunities given to my advantage. Though now it gives me the chance to really dedicate myself to this program and show others what I can do.

  23. As a member of the Blue Devil Battalion, I've learned the importance of discipline.I've learned when and how to take and carry out commands. Also, I've learned when it's time to stop talking and listen up. On the other hand, I've also learned when it's appropriate for me to take charge and give the orders.

I've also learned what it means to be a member of a team. I've learned that it's not just everyone for themselves. We're a battalion, we're a team. When someone falls down, someone's there to pick them up. We all encourage each other and help each other work towards common goals.

  28. What I have learned during my time here in the jrotc cadet program is that diciplin is the key and that my position as a cadet is important to the battalion and to my commanding officer. I have learned that I can become a better leader than what I am now, and I shall work hard to achieve that goal

  29. Through the Blue Devil Battalion I have learned many new things about myself. First I have learned that I need to stay calm even when things aren't necissarily going my way. Next, I have learned that there are times for socializing, and other times for listening.
Through the Battalion I have also learned many things about being on a team. I have learned that you must always help your teamates, since you are only as strong as your weakest link. I have learned that encouragment is much more motivating thatn insults. Finally I have lerned that in a team you must always contribute, and give your absolute best 110% of the time.

  30. Since the time I have been in the Blue Devil Battalion, I learned how to open up more with people. I learned how to socialize in a(n) appropriate manner in which they are essential at most times. I learned that socializing isn't really a bad thing, but it is sometimes necessary to not keep my mouth shut all the time.

I have also learned that I have to give give it my best shot at everything and to not give up so easily. Giving up is not an option in the Blue Devil Battalion, but keep trying and trying harder is an option. I've got all the other Cadets that were cheering on for me and supporting me in to keep trying. That is one way that helped me getting this far in life.

  32. Shy, quiet, no self confidence, does this sound like you? well this was exactly what i was before joining JROTC, i joined, because i knew i wanted to better myself and hopefully get stronger along the way. Before JROTC i hated public speaking, used to get nervous when i had to look someone in the eye, and i had no confidence in my self as a student, and more importantly as a person. JROTC has helped my find myself by providing a fun, safe, and overall enjoyable experiance while still teaching the values that some parents neglect in teaching their children. i think of Jrotc as a place for those of us who know that we need a little dicipline in our lives, a place for those of us who were tought the difference between right and wrong and have maybe forgotten it, and last but not least JROTC is a place were those of us who want to work hard to better ouselves, and to get that confidence we lack.
jrotc has helped me as a person in growing mentally stronger, being able to do long, and argous tasks. this class has and is helping work harder on improving myself and my final "testimony" will be heard after the full year is over
