It depends on who the public is and how many there are in the public. Although usually I am nervous because I tend to move around a lot, and I play with my fingers. I think I still manage to give a decent speech though.
I usually do not like to present in front of large groups of people, but if I know most of the people in the group it is a little easier to talk in front of them. With my new position as S3 and I have to talk at Staff Call I will learn to like it.
Personally, i love talking in front of a group. I'm used to being in the spotlight. I sing, so i had to learn how to perform infront of many people and not get nervous. But the only time i get nervous when speking in front of a group is if i dont know what to say, or if i have to present a project and the project isnt ready i get nervous. but otherwise i love performing/speaking in front of others. I feel very wobbly and slurred speech when i get up to talk to a group of people, especially am auditorium full of them (yes, i had to do that once). i feel i need to work on it more
Usually, I don't like to talk in frongt of groups of people. Unless I'm good friends with everyone in the room, I'm not going to have a good time presenting. If I'm holding a paper, my hands usually start shaking and my face turns bright red. I've been working on it though and I think I've gotten a little bit better.
I am not use to talking infront of the clasS even if some of my friends are there i still get nervous. When ever I do present a speech in any class I get very nervous and my face gets very red. I know that a good leader must give good speeches without getting nervous. Dulce Jimenez 2nd period A company
i probably wasnt there if there was a lesson on this, but i think its confidence, confidence is key. a speech is something from the heart, something you can really feel good about speaking in front of the class about. Stay strong, again, confidence is key!
when i speak to fellow pears or unknown people i sometimes freaze up at times and think "was i prepared to do this". now that i have more friends to help and teach me i now have a better view on how to speak to others. jimmy strong LET 1 D company
