When I play football I often have to play center. The center is the leader of the line. I have to watch for blitzes and help call the blocking assignments from the line. This can help me today because it taught me to think about other peoples jobs as well as my own.
when i play basketball i alway get the people im playing with to waork as a team. So that when we play we dont be makeing simple mistakes. On the court this helped me to day, by helping other in somting they was messing up in.
When I was in gymnastics , I was taught by my coach to lead by example. I was responsible for my team and the routines we had to learn. I would help them practice and prepare for competitions by advising them and directing. Now that I am in JROTC, the skills I learned from gymnastics have helped to know how to treat follow teammates and respect their opinions. A past experience of leadership that i have faced is recent. During my 7th period our teacher was not there yet. There was a warm up and everybody decided to sit where ever they wanted to. It was getting so loud in the classroom i decided to step up and tell everyone to act as if the teacher was there. No one listened so i had went next door to get a teacher to get everyone back in control and be there till our teacher came back. I didn't want no one in trouble but we are in school and we should always go by the rules and respect one another.
A leadership role i have done was when I was at track practice and the coach wasn't there i influenced my other team mates to warm up just like I was doing. Another one was when my math teacher was helping another student,there was another student that needed help so I helped them.
i was a 2 year varsity wrestler my freshman and sophmore year. i was know to be the captian and/or leader for my varsity squad. i had to represent with my brother whenever we had any matches and i carried a leadership role when i help everyone to learn new moves and how to get out of different situations. when ever some one needed help, they'd ask me! i was looked up to and and really respected. thats what started my leadership characteristics. ever since, i keep my honor and stand my ground and leading people in the right directions

Last year in JLC, we had a project in which we had to explain to 6th graders why it would be a good idea to join the program the next year. I stood in front of the 6th grade class with two other cadets. One of them didn't remember what he had to say and I had memorized all three of the speeches for study. After I had realized that he wouldn't be able to remember, I soon spoke for him and completed the project. It earned everyone, including him, an A for the project. I now use this today by getting the whole team to succeed instead of just myself.
Just the other day I was able to use my leadership skills. It was in Math Class, and we had to finish a project. We didn't have much time, and my team preferred to socialize over doing work, so I took charge and divided up the work. This allowed us to finish in plenty of time and get a good grade on the project. This kind of leadership will help me today, because I was able to use time management, which helps you to get things done and turned in on time. I also was able to keep my group under control without them getting mad at me for telling them what to do, and this is essential in any group environment.
I have so many leadership experience! I sometime get to teach at my maritial arts school. the frist time i did taught a class I was so nervous and my instustor said " Don't get scared you are a good student and you need to learn this before you become a black belt," so I stepped up and taught the class. My instuctors was so proud of me.
Last year, I was the Senior Patrol Leader for my Boy Scout Troop. I was in charge of calling everyone to make remind them of our meetings, keeping everyone focused and on task, and making assignments for camp outs and other activities. This helps me today because it helped me to learn how to efficiently manage and work as a team.

I have faced a situation where all of my teammates(friends) were confused,including me, so I decided to assess the question and situation calmly in my head. When I thought about it properly, I understood the question and helped my teammates to understand as well. This has better helped me today as well,because I use that same tactic when I do not understand something nor do my teammates.
Ive faced difficult issues and situations with my family and as the oldest child ive had to take care of my family since my early teen years. The benefit of these situations is that I may have gained responsabilites.

I remember a time that I had to work with a group of my peers on a project. The project was a huge part of our final grade in the class. I really wanted to get started on the project, but my peers where joking around, and talking continuously. Instead of joining in on there immature actions I decided to confront them, with a quiet, but firm voice. That didn't quite work out, so I progressed in making my voice louder until I almost got to a shout. When I caught their attention I mentioned to them how much this project counts for their grade. Soon after I explained what we needed to achieve, we began to work on the project and finished completely. The past experience helped me today by showing me sometimes you leaders need to be loud. The commanding officers and I where running drill, and in order to get everyone's attention we had to almost shout. The before experience showed me it was okay to get loud when leading a group, as long as it's done in a proper manner.
When my siblings and I are left with house work to do,I as the leader make sure it`s done right.For my own part, my siblings agree or disagree if it`a suppose to be done that way.We work as a team, making sure we`re on topic. This can help me in the future to work as a team with others and get to know the idea properly.
It was actually on Wednesday we were at the Marines Office RSS Duluth. Our recruiters weren't going to run the PT for the afternoon, they said we could handle it on our own since they were very busy. It was actually two other guys and I that made sure everyone followed what was on the piece of paper for PT. I can use this experience and the experience i learn from my recruiters to run PT at JROTC. I honestly know that i can run PT's better than anyone in JROTC because I'm the one with the most experience.
One past leadership situation i faced was being with 7 other friends in their apartments just playing around.A couple were older and some were my age.We were just sitting on the stairs talking and everyone was bored one of my friends suggested we break in and steal stuff from another apt.Everyone accepted except me.I told the others to not make a dumb decision and come with me back to my house to watch some movies.It took awhile but finally all but 2 of them listened and came back with me.Those 2 people did what they said and ended up in jail.This experience can help me today by not letting my peers and friends make the wrong choices.

My physical fitness goal is to put in my best effort to do all i can not for my self ,but for other cadets and show them the leader i can be and the leader they can be within themselves. I would'nt have reached this far if it wasn't for setting goals and knowing how i can reach them. I realize that helping others can become a great benefit to you and you don't even notice it. My main goal for the cadet challenge test is to receive the Presidential Physical Fitness Award and as a new person that i have become to be, I am going to keep nothing but positve thoughts and never back down.
One morning I was at swim practice talking with my friends and I realised that the coach was running late so at first I said "we should go swim" in a nice, low voice but that didnt work so I had to raise my voice a bit and said " hey don't you guys want to become better swimmers, well then we should go swim". That comment persuaded most of them to swim.

about a week ago some older kids that were in a freshman class were makeing fun and picking on a freshman and i didnt like it cause no one said anything about it and so when they started to do it again i steped up to them and told them that they need to stop because its not right that everyday he comes in to this class he has to put up with yall to makeing fun of him when all he wants to do is pass the class unlike yall, they didnt listen but the teacher herd me talking to them and when they did it again the teacher got them in trouble and later that week the kid told me thank you for doing that
I go to an international church, and i am the youth representative for the altanta base, and i have to work alot with people outside of the state and often other people in other countries and there is often a clash of cultures, and i am the one who often finds myself cleaning up the mess, and as a leader i need to be understanding and willing to work with others who i may or may not agree with steve simango 4th period let1

in the past i have been in a situation , i am on the freshmen football team , and we were in a tied game, and we were also down by a touchdown. our defense was known for shuting out other teams but it wasnt our day but i had to motivate the defense to hold the othe rteam down. i had to step up my game, and be a leader when my team needed one. doesnt metter what color you are , or what you call god, it all matters inside the heart . you have to be willing to guide your team in the darkiest of times.
I expierence leadership everyday as a xo in the charlie company. I step up to the plate and show my fellow classmate how to act, when to be quite, and where to go when 1sgt or comander isnt there. i can learn from this in my future for when i am in a situation i need to be the leader i will know what im doing!
I'm mainly a gamer, but I have 2 experiences. 1 is my brothers. I'm responsible to make sure that they get what they have to get done done. My other experience is online sometimes. When I play team based games I usually think of a plan that helps the team succeed (as long as the other team didn't hack so you can hear both teams.
In elementary school i was a hall monitor so i had to make sure everybody was in class or running etc. Today it can help me by enforcing the rules when i need to and to make sure that nobody is doing anything to get in trouble or to hurt themselves.

in the past i have been in a situation , i am on the freshmen football team , and we were in a tied game, and we were also down by a touchdown. our defense was known for shuting out other teams but it wasnt our day but i had to motivate the defense to hold the othe rteam down. i had to step up my game, and be a leader when my team needed one. doesnt metter what color you are , or what you call god, it all matters inside the heart . you have to be willing to guide your team in the darkiest of times.
ReplyDeleteI expierence leadership everyday as a xo in the charlie company. I step up to the plate and show my fellow classmate how to act, when to be quite, and where to go when 1sgt or comander isnt there. i can learn from this in my future for when i am in a situation i need to be the leader i will know what im doing!

I'm mainly a gamer, but I have 2 experiences. 1 is my brothers. I'm responsible to make sure that they get what they have to get done done. My other experience is online sometimes. When I play team based games I usually think of a plan that helps the team succeed (as long as the other team didn't hack so you can hear both teams.
ReplyDeleteIn elementary school i was a hall monitor so i had to make sure everybody was in class or running etc. Today it can help me by enforcing the rules when i need to and to make sure that nobody is doing anything to get in trouble or to hurt themselves.
